I’m frustrated

No buy buttons in my galleries on Joomla

Hi there, I'm running Joomla 1.5 and use the ignite gallery (www.ignitegallery.com) to hold my images. i want to be able to place the buy buttons in those galleries only and not the whole site.
I've placed what i think is the right code on my template at the place indicated but don't have anything in the galleries. It does seem to appear everywhere else like my blog and articles which i don't want so have added a 'white list' which have removed them but cannot get it working with the gallery.
Anyone else had issues like this within joomla?.. if so what did you do to get this working?

    Hi John,

Unfortunately Ignite isn't on the list of plugins that work with Fotomoto, but I think it would be great to see it there!

I temporarily removed the URLs you whitelisted and was able to see the buy buttons appear near your images, but Fotomoto and Ignite don't seem to be working correctly together.

I'd suggest contacting ignite to let them know what you're wanting to use Fotomoto in your galleries and they may be willing to check in to how to make Ignite work with Fotomoto. We've had several photographers ask us about using their plugin, and I think there's an audience of Joomla users out there who would be interested if it worked nicely with Fotomoto. We'd be happy to talk with them about this.

    Thanks and kind regards,
    Derek

  • I still seem to be having issues with getting this to
work. I've spoken to the gallery supplier and at the moment they have said
they don't have time to create the code to support so i have looked at
just creating articles with the images I want in the mean time.

As my site is all about images I have a lot of them in other articles but
don't want to add them all so i hoped i could set a URL white list of the
top level area and the system would go through all articles below when
loaded and select the images, it appears that this doesn't happen.
if I leave it as just the main site www.living-in-nz.com don't add a
white list url then ever image (excluding the gallery system) is indexed
    which i don't want.
Any sugegstions other than adding every single page individually?

    Hi John,

I sent you a response via support email, but posting again here for anyone else reading...

Unfortunately our Script doesn't seem to work properly with your Ignite image gallery, and it would take some troubleshooting and development effort to resolve the issue. If the developer isn't available to assist, I'd suggest using a different gallery from the list here, or alternately link your thumbnails to an image 'detail' page where the image isn't in a 'player'.

As for how to prevent buy buttons from showing up on certain images, this article covers the topic. In cases where only want to sell images on certain sections of your site that uses a template-driven system, you could also just leave our script out of any templates where you don't want buy buttons to appear.

    I hope the answer helps!

    Kind regards,
    Derek
