Processing with Paypal

Hi,
I have customers that, when trying to buy an image, get the message "does not accept payments in this Currency" when checking out.

My paypal account is confiugured to accept any currency. I have tried to buy an image myself using my default paypal currency, but the message still appears.

My website is:

Please advise,
Thanks.

  • Hi Ray,

Thank you for your post. This is an issue we've heard reported a few times, and in each case it has been because the PayPal account isn't set up to receive the currency that the buyer is trying to use.

Below are some instructions that we've sent to other sellers which seemed to resolve the issue. If you need further assistance with this, it's probably best to contact PayPal, as they're better at providing support for their service than we are =)

I hope this helps and kind regards,
    Derek

    Adding Currency Balances
If you want to accept payments in a particular currency, you must add that currency to your account. When you add the new currency, all future payments that you receive in this currency are automatically credited to this balance.

To open a balance in a new currency:

Log in to your PayPal website at https://www.paypal.com.
The My Account Overview page opens.
    Click the Profile subtab.
    The Profile Summary page opens.
In the Financial Information column, click the Currency Balances link.
    The Manage Currencies page opens.
Select a currency name from the Select new currency dropdown menu and click the Add Currency button.
The Manage Currencies page confirms that you added a currency balance and displays it in the Currency list.
