Storefront option as well?

I know this defeats the purpose of Fotomoto, but is there a link or a way to refer customers to a storefront? The reason is because I recently switched web hosting platforms to one that currently does not support Fotomoto scripts.

    Hi denreisan,

Sorry, but Fotomoto doesn't offer website hosting services - at this time we only enable other sites with e-commerce functionality. For more info on how Fotomoto works, please see
    http://support.fotomoto.com:/customer...

Also, for a list of hosting services that we integrate with, please see the list at
    http://www.fotomoto.com/home/how

    Regards,
    Derek

  • That wasn't my question at all. I said in my post that I recently changed to a different hosting service that is not compatible with Fotomoto. So rather than trying to use the script to work with my photos, is there a link to a storefront on our accounts? So, my question is if Fotomoto members have a link to a storefront of ours?

    Hi Denreisan,

I'm curious what you mean by "storefront".

Would this be an option where we would host all of your (and any other artists) image thumbnails on a page specific to you?

If so, that's not something we currently offer, but it is a great idea, you could certainly request it in our ideas forum, here: http://getsatisfaction.com/fotomoto/i...

Putting it in that forum, will mean other people will see it, vote on it, and if it gains traction we can act on it.

    Cheers,
    piam
    • Yes, a storefront in the sense that we can send a link to customers and they can visit a store on Fotomoto with our photos up for sale. I know the purpose of Fotomoto was to get away from that old method, but I think some of us would also like to have that as an option. Many services offer a store front, but charge a fee for just having the store. I like the idea that Fotomoto only charges when you sell a photo. So a store front would be ideal for people who like Fotomoto, but are on web hosts that do not currently support it. I'm on Virb.com. I've contacted them and expressed that Fotomoto has an API they can work with so it's only a matter of time until they answer back or work on it. I will go ahead and make a request in the other forum. Thanks.

  • I’m confused.
I have an additional question. On our accounts under Settings, if you look at the Fotomoto script we use to put into our websites, it says the following:

If Javascript is disabled browser, to place orders please visit the page where I sell my photos, powered by Fotomoto.

"If javascript is disabled browser, to place orders PLEASE VISIT THE PAGE WHERE I SELL MY PHOTOS, powered by Fotomoto."

When clicking on the link where I would be selling my photos, it leads to a blank page. Is this other page an alternative place to make orders when Fotomoto is not working on certain browsers?

    I’m sorry it's confusing
@denreisan, the link you're referring to is displayed on Fotomoto-enabled pages when Javascript is disabled in the browser being used to view the page. You are correct that the link currently goes to a blank page; this is a known issue, and is something that we plan to address in a future update.

Sorry for the confusion - please understand that Fotomoto is still on the "beta" release =)

I understand that you're looking for hosted "storefront" pages, and I'd second Piam's suggestion that you post your feature request as an Idea here in the community forum.
