This photo is currently not available for sale.

I have created my settings for canvas and fine art prints only. Some of my photos are cropped to unique sizes that are NOT available as a canvas print. All the photos have options for fine art prints. The issue is the load of fotomoto automatically goes to Canvas prints first which shows that this photo is currently not available for sale when there is options for fine art prints. For first time visitors this may put off potential buyers. Is there a way to change the order of the first viewed item (probably more ideal) or an option to turn off specific types of prints for specific photos?

  • Hi Jake,

First, you've probably seen this article about the "This photo is currently not available..." message, but for anyone else reading here's what it means: http://support.fotomoto.com/customer/...

There is currently no way to choose whether Fine Art or Canvas shows up first in the Cart, though this would be a good suggestion that you might want to put in to an 'Idea' post in this forum.

If you have some images where you're getting the error above for Canvas, you might want to consider setting up a new Collection for those images with either special print sizes available or different Print Size Options set as appropriate so your customers won't see the error.

If you need any help with a specific example, please send us an image to look at and we'll be happy to recommend settings.

I hope that helps and kind regards,
    Derek

  • Hi Derek,

I have a bunch of photos that do not fit the canvas sizes so I would probably need to set up customized examples. Please visit: http://jwolfmedia.com/?page_id=32
The 2 lightning photos are good examples on the 2nd row. How do I set them up individually? Do I have to move them to specific collections?

    Thanks!

  • Hi Jake,

Well, first thing you want to keep in mind is that when you use the 'Flexible Sizes' or 'Crop Using Smart Size Matching' print size options, our system will only offer one print size for sale for a given width.

For example, if you have several 20" sizes enabled (like 20"x50", 20"x60", etc.), only the most appropriate size will be shown in the cart. Thus, you should be OK just enabling a few more print sizes in your For Sale collection. Maybe just give this a try and check to see that your images are available in the cart as desired.

Otherwise, you're welcomed to set up a separate collection specifically for certain images - that's totally up to you.

I hope that helps and kind regards,
    Derek
