I’m frustrated.

Uploading photos to fotomoto

I have a custom made site with no gallery scripts. Is there any way to add original hi res images manually to fotomoto? If so, how?

  • Hi Robert,

Thanks for your post, and let me point you to this article that should answer your questions: see How Fotomoto works on your site.

As you'll see in the article, you can use our Auto Pickup system to automatically grab the original hi res images needed when an order is placed, or you can upload them to us manually.

I hope that helps and kind regards,
    Derek

  • I'm not a pro user though so I can't use auto pickup as I don't have many images on my site so it doesn't make sense to upgrade yet. My site is owenwelsh.com. Also I cannot get fotomoto to even show up on my site.

    Question:
Why isn't there just a button that says "upload" photo to fotomoto? No one is going to use the hi-res photos except your company and I don't want to post them onto some gallery website.

Fotomoto seems like a really good idea but the implementation isn't user friendly.

  • Hi Robert,

We've already talked via our email support channel and I know you're all set now, but just to update the post here, you can almost always find the reason why Buy Buttons are missing in this article: Missing the Fotomoto Buy Buttons?.

As for uploading high resolution files to complete print and other orders, as explained in the article above, we don't use these files until an order is placed. If you're not using Auto Pickup, the order notification we send automatically will let you know how to upload the files to us manually if needed.

    Thanks and kind regards,
    Derek
