Very upset about Fotomoto

I am very angry with you, Fotomoto.

I had selected you as my selling platform. I'm just starting out and I can't afford to host my own site, advertise, AND pay your subscription fees.

Look, you just cut 10% of my profit. Thanks a lot. I'd be lucky to make about $12 in profit a month. Your products are expensive to begin with and now I have to charge my customers even more.

But wait - there's more. Nice to know you won't deploy features for the free version. I've been waiting for *months* for framed prints and a new interface. These promises were why I chose you (and no monthly fees).

Plus, you disabled auto pickup.And now I have to pay you before my customers get their orders? What's up with that - you need cash right now or something? It worked fine before, you know.

Why on earth would I want to stay with you?

I can't afford your 'free' service.

I am seriously considering abandoning you. How's that?

    Hi Rincon Road Support,

    We're sorry that you're angry. We had to make some big changes for all the reasons we explained in our blog, and we also had a large number of people requesting the ability to make their own prints and others who didn't want to pay a 30-day waiting period. The current implementation was the best way to make all of these things happen while still being able to offer a free service with personal support.

    We hope that after reviewing your average monthly sales that you find the additional percentage in the Free plan is worth the level of support you're getting, and that Fotomoto still works for your business.

    I have to say I second what Rincon Road Support said... I am just starting out as well and put considerable time into integrating Fotomoto into a system allowing my clients to purchase prints from my site using Fotomoto.

    What made you attractive was the fact that it was a simple solution... you fulfilled the orders.

    I HATE the new system. It is in fact no longer a viable solution for me. The only people you would be viable to in my eyes would be people already selling numbers images.

    I don't - I am just getting started and you have decided to screw those that can't afford to do this on our own... In fact all you have done for me is waste a bunch of my time setting up my galleries in your api.

    Hi J,

    I'm sorry to hear you're angry, but I'd encourage you to look over all the details and I think you'll find that it doesn't represent so much of a negative impact on your business. We will still handle order processing if you choose, and we will still do it via a Free subscription plan. Yes, you'll lose a few features and the processing fee is a few percentage points higher, but as above, we hope you'll find that the new benefits and continued responsive service are worth a few dollars.
