What happened to iPhone support?

Let me see if I understand this correctly: I PURCHASED the Xmarks iPhone app (previously), and now it WON'T work unless I pay for a (yearly) upgrade? and I can't even email a support question (or get any sort of direct answer) without upgrading as well? Doesn't sound like mush of a reward for being an "early adopter" (all the way back to Foxmarks).
