AutoFocus+ PRO with Wordpress 3.1, sliding feature stop working

  • Problem
  • Updated 4 years ago
Today I updated Wordpress to version 3.1 (from 3.0.5), after that the sliding image in featured area and in every post stop working. I have tried to reinstall thematic(0.9.7.7) and af-pro (1.5.3), but it doesn't help. Please help to verify. At current I have 2 sticky posts.

Hi, This issue has been fixed.

You can download version 1.5.4 by using the same download link from when you first purchased the theme.

I will send out an official update email announcing the update once I run a few more tests and see if there are any more new 3.1 features I can include in another update.

my download link still only shows 1.5.3 (and I downloaded it to check, 1.5.3 is the file that I get back). Did it get temporarily pulled or anything?

You can also roll back the prototype.js and jquery.js in the wp-includes\js folder and it will work again (this works to fix IE compatibility).

You’ll need to use FTP to update the theme by replacing the old theme folder with the new one. The Theme uploader has always been a bit shoddy with updates in my opinion.

After that reinstall, I rename the old theme to autofocus153 and then use wordpress to install from zip file, it is ok now for sliding images. If you are not rename or delete your old theme it will fail to install theme. Thanks

I'm still using 1.5.3 and I've update to Wordpress 3.1....... but for now I have no problems with the sliding images. Just thought I'd let you know.

Update: I found out why I did not have any problem with the sliding.... I'm using plugin wp-jquery-lightbox, if I disable the plugin the sliding feature stops.

So it's jquery related? I just started using wp-jquery-lightbox because plugin jQuery Colorbox stopped working after updating Wordpress to 3.1.

Yup its a problem with older jQuery plugins. Not all of them are compatible.

Seems fine in my demo: http://goo.gl/5rsTj
Could be another plugins’ jQuery causing the conflict.

Allan: maybe it's an idea to add jQuery lightbox options for single images to the theme? One plugin less ;)
Or is this a lot of work?

Well I personally prefer Fancy Box over Lightbox ;-)

I’m going to try and set that up as a built in option for that in the standalone version at some point.

I'm having an issue using Fancybox for WP with the AutoFocus+ theme; Fancybox will not work, the screen goes gray, no photo pop-up, just the photo title....what could the issue be?

When using the new 1.5.4 version of the pro version, the titles of all my posts have moved to the sidebar rather than appearing above the post content and sidebar as they used to (see a post at www.thefrankfurtglobe.com). Is there a fix for this?

This is standard for the Grid layout... if you switch to the standard layout the title will appear above the post.

Oh I see. Is there anyway to change this as I love the Grid Layout but don't like the title being in the sidebar?

Well I must still be doing something wrong...

* I updated to the theme version 1.5.4
* I tried the WP jQuery Lightbox
* I tried a post from scratch

This post: http://brandonbohling.com/2011/02/tes... should be displaying this Flickr set: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ebohling.... But it's not. The theme is fairly idiot proof if you follow these instructions: http://fthrwght.com/autofocus/prodemo.... What am I missing?

1. Why aren't the photos scrolling on the post?
2. Why, on the homepage, is a larger photo not being used so the red "edges" don't show up? (Large version on Flickr is bigger than 800px)

Help! :)

I also only get the 1.5.3, not 4 when I go to my original download link.

For me it's not showing the 'featured image' on each post.

I've updated to version 1.5.4 however I still can't get my images to scroll. It looks like images should be scrolling, but no images show up in the scroll area. I'm sorry if I've missed the answer to this already. Any help? (to see the problem, my site is www.olalaphotography.com)

Oh my goodness! I just realized this works in a different browser. This makes my concern much less pressing. Any idea why it won't work in Chrome?

Laura: I'm not sure which Chrome browser you're using, but when I view your site with Chrome I see your images sliding.

I have updated everything and now I got a weird error on the sliding images... it seem that everything is moved like 50 pixel on the right on that post...
any idea about this?
