Misaligned first image in Flickr gallery

  • Question
  • Updated 4 years ago
I just created a gallery with pictures from a Flickr set, using a code silimar to [flickrgallery setid="52157624866504110" limit="10"] mentioned in the documentation.

The first image on each row was not properly aligned, as can be seen in the attached image. By commenting line 252 in file /autofocuspro/style.css the problem was resolved. I've tested the result in Safari and Chrome, and both look okay.

Maybe someone else finds this useful.

Cheers!
Remco

Hello! I know it maybe quite off topic but could you tell me how to set up a gallery like the one you do? I've tried everything but the thumbnails do not appear in any page! I've tried using [flickrgallery setid="52157624866504110" limit="10"] kind of code but no thumbnail appears!! The images appear only in the sliding feature..but with non thumbnail visible..
Thank you!

Hey Flora, I thought the Flickr integration is only available with the Pro version. So, do you have the Pro or the non-paid version of the Autofocus theme?

Hey Remco! Thank you for your quick reply!
I bought the pro version..:)
If I copy the gallery url in the Autofocus+pro post options and check "Show Sliding Image Gallery" it works fine, showing me all the images of the set in the sliding space..If i do not activate the sliding show i can see only the first image of the set in the sliding space..But the problem is that I'd like only to have a gallery like yours with the thumbnails in the page..If i put this kind of code [flickrgallery setid="72157600790293328" limit="20"] in my page it does nothing at all!

Hey Flora! When checking the Enable Flickr checkbox and when you choose a Flickr set, the big image on top of the page will be the first image in the set. If you also select the Show sliding image gallery checkbox, the first 10 images out of the set will be shown. So you have that working.

It's strange that the Flickr set gallery doesn't work. What happens if you remove the limit-part, so just include [flickrgallery setid="72157600790293328"]. And to be totally sure, create a new post.

I had the same problem as Flora and Remco your solution worked. I removed the limit part and they showed up so just amended the limit number and now its working. I do have a problem with the first image of each line being higher than the rest.

Hey Ben,

You can add the following code to the style.css file in the autofocuspro folder:

#content .entry-content #gallery-flickrset .gallery-item {margin-bottom:0px;}

Just add that line at the end of style.css and the gallery images will be on equal height. Good luck!

Hi Remco and Ben! This morning my gallery was still not working even using the method you suggested me..(removing limit part).
But now I've found the real problem! It could be a silly problem but I'd like to report my solution anyway, cause the same trouble could drive mad someone else!
If I copy and paste (even though I past it as plain text) the set ID number from a link or a Flickr web page, it won't work! Otherwise if you type the numbers one by one, it works even without removing the limit part.
Maybe someone else finds this useful!
Many thanks for your help!
