‘Hidden Help in the Community’
n-compass northwest ltd has been asked to undertake research on behalf of Skills For Care, a national charity concerned with the attitudes, values, skills and qualifications people need to undertake their roles in the social care field. We are tasked with scoping the role of informal community support and reporting on the value this brings to communities. To do this we, we are inviting individuals and community/social groups that have very little funding or formal support, who help people in their local area to complete a questionnaire.
We are calling this research ‘Hidden Help in the Community’ as we know that valuable work goes on without much recognition from anyone except the people who receive the care provided. We want to know more about the help you provide. The help can be to people of any age from very young to older people. It can be looking after your neighbour, to providing a lunch club, to a book group, helping people feel less lonely or to improve their health.
You can click on this link to complete the questionnaire and get the chance to win £100 of Asda vouchers and afternoon tea with your MP
