Residential Parking

Are there any plans to introduce residential permits for parking for the roads around St Annes town center?

I know I have metioned this before but its getting ridiculous now.
There are people parking across driveways, across alleys and on the pavement.

A permit scheme is the only way to force these cars into the empty NCP car park. Almost everyone on our road seems to work at the DWP building.

Last night I had to park my car 300 yds from my house!

We've got the same problem in Lytham town centre. There's a cheap car park next to the station but the roads are completely parked up all day long. Please extend the 2 hour zone into surrounding streets.

Hi Dave,

I forwarded your question on to our Parking Manager, please see his response below...

Unfortunately Fylde Borough Council has no control of on-street parking or the introduction of any permit schemes. Lancashire County Council Highways team are the best people to contact regarding this. They can be contacted directly on 0845 053 0011 or by emailing highways@lancashire.gov.uk.

Thanks again for your question

Best Regards

Ross

I raised this 10 years ago when I lived in St Annes, indeed it was one of the reasons I moved away as we were constantly inconvenienced by the staff from the Jobcentre parking along our street.

I have an issue where I now live and contacted Fylde Council, the police and Lancashire County Council. The only response I received was from the police who visited and tried to get some positive response from the councils. The police failed so, to be quite honest, I wouldn't hold my breath if you want anything from the council
