Locally stored files link to website and auto open file.

Wouldn't it be great if you could save the file on your desktop and automatically have it associated with "Gantter". Just double click on the file icon and you are routed to the site and presto the file opens.

  • That sounds good.

However, you can just open Gantter online and then tell it to load a gantter file from your local directory now.

  • I’m FANTASTIC I TELL YOU!!!
That's for reminding me but you know, now-a-days these online SaaS applications are becoming evermore like desktop apps so why not make this distinction even less apparent (and increase the appeal for desktop users) by having a file open automatically as if they where using a local application. This could generate new users aswell. Imangine I send you a file in a e-mail and you never heard of Gantter before. I tell you to download the file and simply open it. You (a trusting colleague) follow my instructions and are amazed that "MS Project, wink, wink" exists in my browser. How great would that be? I'll tell you ... it would fantastic!!! That is the type of feeling that generates a loyal partner.
