lost gantter file on google drive
I was viewing my 'shared' gantter file on Google Drive and wanted to create a new gantter file. I went to Project > New and a new file was created but it deleted my previous file which had all my work on it. Where did it go?

Project->New does not (and can not) delete any files. Look for the file in your Google Drive (including "Shared with me" section) or in "Open from Google Drive" dialog in Gantter. It may be that the file is no longer shared with you, in this case please contact the owner of the file.

Looked all over and asked person who shared file and the file was no where to be found. When I clicked Project>New it basically renamed and created a new document on my Drive and in his Gantter account. Is this a bug?

sorry, no, Project->New doesn't do anything except refreshing the UI. And it doesn't create any new documents (Project->Save is for that).

But it does not follow any logic used in any other software created over last 25 years! You create a new file and get a new file, not an old one with an erased data! Oh god, what do I do now?!

I gave a new project a name, added some tasks, calendars and resources and saved it. after that I moved it to a specific folder on my Google Drive. Now Google Drive tells me (in the statistics section of the folder where the old project file was residing) that I changed, renamed and moved the old file. Which I didn't do.
All I have now is the new project file, whith all the attributed of the old one, and without old data. It even has the creation date as the old one. But in oreder to do that I would have to delete over 200 tasks! Which would take obvious effort.
Is there any way to go back to a previous copy of the file? It is a very important ongoing project with a strick deadline in just ten days, and restoring it manually would take days!!!
Please help!
