I download the Gapminder Offline win32-ia64 on Windows 10 and when I unzip the files, Norton (antivirus) removes the .exe and all .dll's saying that they are "unsafe".
What can I do to prevent the removal?

We haven't seen this before, is it possible to make an exception for the files?
You can try reporting a false positive to Norton and hope they will fix it: https://submit.symantec.com/false_pos...
I'll also forward this to our programmers but I'm not sure if we can help it. We ensure you the program is completely safe to install.

To inform you, we have requested a whitelisting of Gapminder Offline and it got accepted. We also made our own notice of a false positive to which we did not get any answer yet.
We hope that with the whitelisting you won't have any problems installing anymore after you update your anti virus definitions.
