Can I offer to fund another company's GetSatisfaction page just for the next month?

Hi,

Mojang's GetSatisfaction page has ranked up a very great community, but sadly they're closing down their page. I fear they might be over by the end of the month. Would it be possible, if the offer is accepted by them, to fund their GetSatisfaction to extend it until the end of March?

Thanks.

Hi Jonathan,

That's a really nice gesture! I will share your question with the rest of the support team to see what can be done about this. Someone will follow up with you shortly.

Thanks :)

Wow, Jonathan, that is so generous. It really speaks highly to the community that you all have built on that site.

If the Mojang team gave you admin price ledges to the community, you would have access to the account page and be able to change the form of payment. This is the way I would go about making such a change.

Do you think they would be amenable to such an arrangement?

Thanks,
Jenn

To be honest, I'm not sure. Normally they're rather too busy to respond to the community, but something like this might catch their eye. As for agreeing to the payments I'm not sure about that either, but I do know that Mojang is a very friendly team and I'm sure something can be worked out.

I don't think they would. When they announced they would shut down their page, they stripped everyone's moderator powers except for the official Mojang employees.

So Jenn, should I contact them directly, or does the GS team do that?

Oof, sorry about the typo. I meant privileges, not "price ledges."

San Francisco, awesome I'm thinking about moving to Cali before too long. I'm in Arizona right now though I doubt I could afford to live in San Francisco when I move. =)

On this subject I doubt they would allow something like this since they seem adamant about shutting down the page. Some people want to act like they're friendly but they were complete tools when I asked why they were shutting down the site and their CSR makes you guys look godly with how terrible his attitude is. Shutting down your only viable support site doesn't seem very friendly to your consumer and neither does bad mouthing this site on Reddit which is what their new CSR did. It would be nice but I don't think it's going to happen.

Honestly, I don't think they care. I think they want to shut down their page, regardless if they get offers from people like JH to pay for it. For one, they removed all the moderator's moderator status, so now trolls and spam-bots are free to be internet vultures.

Cmon Creeper, be optimistic! I'm sure they'll listen somehow.

BTW, a page on Get Satisfaction is $20 a month on the low end. (I saw an ad on Valve's GS on this page:http://gsfn.us/t/2o5oz)
