Can we create link to a new topic that pre-populates some of the fileds like topic type

Can we create a link that directly opens up a new topic that pre-populates some of the fileds like topic type.

We would like to make it as easy as possible for our clients to give us the details of a problem or tell us that we are doing a good job when we are.

I can create a link to "New Topic" generally but this does not fill out the topic type.

It would be great to be able to create a link that opens a new topic and fills out the topic type and maybe even some other basic information like subject line. This would make it a little easier for our clients to quickly create a new topic.

Can you let me know if they is possible and if not can I request that it is something you implement in the future.

Hey Adrian! Just wanted to give you the heads up that our product team reviewed this idea and marked it as under consideration though it isn't likely to be released in the short term. We're planning some big updates to our app over the next few quarters, so that is more likely when an idea like this might get implemented. I figured out a work around for the basic preset topic type functionality. To be completely honest, I'm slightly embarrassed it took me so long to figure this out, but at least I figured it out. :) Anyways, when logged in and you click the "Create a Company Update" link at the top of your community, you get a link that looks like this:

I replaced "update" with a different topic type (e.g.: idea), refreshed, and viola... it worked! Give these links below a try:





Product is still considering your original idea of allowing the subject line to be filled out, etc., but I just wanted to bring this to your attention to see if it would help. Have a nice weekend!
