We had an employee in our system. He has now left the company. I removed him from the list of employees. However, employee emails are still going to him. (We have not deactivated him email account yet internally.) Is there a better way to remove him? Is there any way to stop these emails? Ideally, I'd like to delete his account from GetSat totally, but I don't think I have that kind of power.

Hi Vickie,

Is he getting ALL email notifications of new topics in your community? Or just email notifications of topics he had participated in or was otherwise following? The latter is a mechanism of general Get Satisfaction user accounts and has nothing to do with being an employee. The former only occurs for people listed as an Employee in a community here. If he wants to stop receiving all email notifications, he needs to access his own user profile and uncheck that box, like so:

If he's still receiving email notifications of all new topics in your community then we'll have to investigate. If that's the case, please email our support email address with his name and email address so we can look into it. Thanks!

Hi Vickie,

I just wanted to circle back with you on this. Did my suggestion resolve the issue for your former employee?

We believe your hunch was right. The former employee is no longer getting email. The email he was getting must have been from posts he had replied to (or was following). As those posts have closed out, the emails have stopped. Thanks!
