I currently am in the beginner trial for Zendesk. I would like to integrate with GetSat, but I keep getting told that I'm entering invalid Zendesk credentials. I've double-checked my password and email and know that I'm entering it correctly.

Does GS/ZD integration not work during the Zendesk free trial?

Hi Becca!

I just checked with our Director of Business Development (who facilitated the integration with ZD). He's fairly certain that the integration should work while you're on a free trial, but if you're on a free plan it will not work. I'll try to reach out to our Zendesk contact for 100% certainty, but it should work on a free trial.

That said, do you happen to know if you used "https://" when entering in the credentials? Get Satisfaction is now on SSL, and I've seen that error message occur if you're not using https://

Give that a shot, and let me know if you're still having difficulties. In the meantime I'll look around and see if I can find any other information.

I did have https:// there. Still telling me my credentials are invalid. I've been on the free trial of Zendesk for 2 days.

Thank you for looking into it!

Ok, let's try something else.

Can you enter in the Zendesk URL and leave the lower fields blank. Then press save. Once that has saved successfully, then try entering in your Zendesk credentials. Did that work?

Also, just to confirm... you are the Admin for the Zendesk account, correct? In order to set these credentials you do need to have Admin rights for both Zendesk and Get Satisfaction. I saw that you have Admin rights for GS, but I have no idea for Zendesk. Sorry for not bringing this up earlier!

Actually, the first time I tried to link GS and ZD, that's exactly what I did: saved the Zendesk URL leaving the bottom fields blank, and the integration page has maintained the saved URL ever since. However, it never has accepted my Zendesk credentials once I attempted to enter them.

Does that make sense?

I am the admin for Zendesk as well, yes.

That does make sense. I'm going to reach out to a couple of my teammates and see if they have any ideas. In the meantime, I'm going to convert this question over to a problem since it sounds like something isn't behaving properly.

I'm sorry for the frustration & will be in touch soon!

Hi Becca!

I know the back and forth here can be frustrating, thanks for sticking with it.

I checked the integration site and it had:
http://yoursite.zendesk.com

So I changed it to:
https://yoursite.zendesk.com

Can you try again? Thanks!
Jenn
