Get Satisfaction & Sprinklr disabling TLS 1.0 on June 18, 2016

We have recently been informed of some security updates taking place over the next few weeks. These updates should be shared with your Security and or IT team.

On June 18, 2016, Get Satisfaction and Sprinklr will disable TLS 1.0 encryption protocol. The disablement of TLS 1.0 is being undertaken so Get Satisfaction and Sprinklr can maintain the highest security standards and promote the safety of your data as well as align with industry-wide best practices.

For API (inbound) Integrations, work with your Security and IT teams to have this updated. If your integrations that use inbound connections to Get Satisfaction and Sprinklr services do not have TLS 1.1 and/or TLS 1.2 enabled after we make this change, your integrations will experience disruption. We recommend that you begin planning to support TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2 as soon as possible.

The simplified version of what this means, is that most of you won't have to make any changes. All modern browsers already support TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2. Browsers will update automatically to the most recent version of TLS, so if you’re using a browser that’s been updated in the last few years, you likely already have TLS 1.1 or TLS 1.2 enabled. The things to watch out for are API integrations, which may be configured to specifically talk over TLS 1.0.

Please let us know if you have any questions about this.

Hi Markus,

The change to fully disable it was delayed, but has now been completed.

Hi Markus, thanks for being so on top of it. In between our feedback loop with Tashina we actually had to roll back the change because it had broken an integration. We'll update again when we have it all worked out.

We wanted to be sure to update everyone - TLS 1.0 has now been officially disabled.
