Tags
In the right column of a Company Home page is a grouping of Popular Tags. Clicking on any of these tags will give you a list of all topics with that tag. Each topic has a list of tags associated with it when tags have been assigned. You can add tags to any topic.
(See above image)

Products & Services
There is a list of Popular Products & Services on the Company home page as well. Clicking on any of these will give you a list of all topics associated with that product or service.
(See above image)

Clicking the arrow on a product or service will open a company rating box which allows you to rate the product or service and adds it to your dashboard:

You can also click on the "See all products and services" link to see a page with all products associated with company. From this page you can view all the products associated with or related to the company, you can add new products, you can rate products and add them to your dashboard and you can click through to any specific product page where you'll see all associated topics (and have the option of editing the product details if you are registered as an employee of that company).
Get Satisfaction Products & Services

People's Pick
"People's Pick" is no longer being used. We now have a system that is more explicit in its meaning. Questions have "answers". Problems have "solutions". Ideas have "good points". When enough people mark someone's reply this way, it will be displayed at the top of the page. If you simply liked what someone had to say, but it doesn't specifically solve a problem or answer a question, you can leave a quick comment for them.

Official Responses and Status
Company representatives are able to mark the status on topics and mark their answers as the Best Answer or Solution from the company. It too, sticks to the top of the topic page and can be viewed inline in the context of the conversation. See this topic for further explanation.

Your Dashboard
Every registered user has a dashboard which you can access by clicking "You" in the top bar. Here you can edit your public profile, view a list of all topics you've participated in across all of Get Satisfaction, keep track of your stats in the system, manage products and companies you wish to follow, and edit your account settings*. You can also subscribe to a RSS feed of your acitvity from your dashboard.

*Account Settings
Account settings are part of your dashboard. This is where you can edit your personal information such as nickname, real name, email address, avatar, tagline, location, password, etc. This is also where you would go to close your account, edit your title if you're officially involved with any companies and set your notification preferences.

Profile
Clicking on another user's name will take you to their profile page. Here you'll see their public profile information, their site usage stats, all topics they've participated in across all of getsatisfaction.com and a list of the companies, products and services they use.

Add a company
If you don't find the company you want to discuss on the Companies page or from the company search at the top of every page, you can add it here. If you're officially affiliated with the company you can claim it!

That's about it. Pretty simple all in all. So dive in and start participating in the conversation!

I'm trying to add a topic for my company and when I hit "Find Topic" my browser is asking me to save a file named 'New'. I tried both saving and canceling, but nothing else happens... the button worked fine in the help, but some reason it's giving me problems on my company.

Hey, Jeanne. I'm a little confused. Is there a specific company you're having a problem with? Maybe I can help.

I'm sorry, but I'm not familiar with smart piggy. Can you point me in the right direction? Is there a bank called Smart Piggy that offers accounts? Or, is it a different company, perhaps a Web site, that offers a specific account called smart piggy? I'm gobsmacked, but want to help.

Jeanne - To clarify, this is the customer community area for Get Satisfaction where people get help with using the Get Satisfaction web site. It sounds like you're looking for help with another company. Please let us know what company that is and we can point you in the right direction.

Very nice set up here for both companies and their consumer public:) However, I do have one question (just one for now:P ) It is...when one places a new company into GS's list of available ones, but has no current image to upload to represent that company in an avatar (profile pic) but fetches one after having created and described the new company, how can one then return to the utility w/in one's homepage and specifically to that shared new business, to edit the information originally provided when they offered up the business to add to GS's list of patronised companies? Also one more thing, what would be all-out suggested pixel W/H for images to be uploaded for representation as businesses? I have my own sized at 137x137, but had to unlock the aspect ratio to do it, since originally it was taller than it was as wide. I would like, in the future to have a clearer idea on what to set the canvas at when I create the image specifically to be used as an avatar/profile picture on GetSatisfaction. Thank you for your help with these two things, and thanks for providing quite a nice place for companies and their customers:)

OnCall: Once you have been approved as the admin, you can go in and change any of those details about your company. I just approved your "claim" as the company rep, and you should be receiving an e-mail that directs you to your admin space. So, go in there and add the details you want.

Also, I think that the logo size is 1-1. For example, I believe the logo for a company is 100x100 pixels, unless we've changed that at some point. So, your 137x137 should get optimized, and it should display well, but if it doesn't, let me know and I'll pull in a designer to the conversation.

Thanks so much for getting back to me so quickly on this, and for all your helpful information:) However, actually my question here was concerning adding companies that one uses/is customer of, in that there seems no way other than the initial addition process, to provide an image/avatar for that particular company, once it is submitted to GS. And btw, the 137x137 seems to work ok as OnCall's logo image in here, although, through no fault, of course, of GS, I'm not so happy with the overall look of it, and plan to revamp it as soon as I have a bit more time. Thanks, too, though, for your offer to pull a designer into this particular convo. I think we (OnCall and its staff/customers) are going to like it here at GetSatisfaction, once we can all figure out how things work a bit better. So thanks for your help so far:)

Also, OnCall -- we are working on content and tools to better help you use Get Satisfaction and guide you towards ways to get the most out of it. Thank you for bearing with us in the meantime.

And yes, it's true -- if you've added a company that you do not work for and will not be claiming the only opportunity you have to add a logo, description, etc is when you're adding the company. However if you are unable to do this but later have the necessary data you can always email us at info [at] getsatisfaction [dot] com requesting that we add it in.
your product is so great ... i really love it but its really confusing for people to manage it ... for one i can't even find a button or link to edit my product!

Sorry if it is confusing. Once you have claimed the company as an admin, you can easily make changes like this, and you will receive an e-mail that shows you how to access your admin section. As we try to point out during the employee claim process, it might take some time for us to approve your claim, but I'll do my best to get your claim turned around faster.

Hi Chris. Was that Peace Rumble Store? I see it. You'll want to be sure to claim it as well. It may take a couple days for the company and claim to be approved. Feel free to ask any questions in the meantime.

Hi,
I just got my company on Get Satisfaction. A couple of days ago i made the company on get satisfaction on this account and then i claimed it because it is mine. I got a verification code i clicked it and now it still doesn't let me say i'm an employee and it won't let me edit product details. Any suggestions?

Hi Rjun, What company is it? The claim approval is a manual process. I'll take a look and see where you're at in the queue.

Rjun, I think I've spotted the problem. I've added you as an employee. You should be showing up now in that section.
