Get Satisfaction offers a Community Management Certification Course that will get you certified to moderate and manage communities in just 5 weeks. The course is taught by industry veteran Robyn Tippins (@duzins). Robyn has an impressive resume behind her and has also published a book about online community management! She's worked with both large and small companies and is available to share her tips, tricks and knowledge in this class. In just 10 sessions, you will learn everything from the basics of moderating, to how to listen and respond on the social web, to analyzing and sharing reports with your team. You'll begin to understand the best practices of online communication and study real life examples of community successes and failures.
I was privileged enough to take this course a few months ago and now feel much more confident in my moderation capabilities. It's a great starter course for those new to the industry, or a refresher course for those who haven't been in the field awhile. Best part?
