Official Response
Hi Grace

If they are the original poster, you can turn the topic privately. If not, you can fork the post to a fresh topic and then make it private.

I also have a topic on how to create a private post and sometimes post the link and ask them to create a private topic.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, how do I create a private post and send the person I want to reach?

You are not able to create a private post for someone easily, but if you fork their comment into it's own topic, you can use the manage screen to change the conversation to private. A private conversation is between the original poster and employees.

Here is our topic on telling the customer how to create one, https://community.homestead.com/homes...

I just saw that the color scheme on the screen shots has changed, but you get the idea.

It would be nice if private messages were an option :)

I'm a champion on IMDb's GS site. There are times it would be helpful to reply privately to someone on that site so the information does not end up being available publicly, and indexed by Google, Bing and other search engines.
