How to Unsubscribe from Community Emails

One of the most common questions we get asked here in the Get Satisfaction customer community is, "How can I unsubscribe from email notifications from community topics?" This guide should make it easy for you to see what you are subscribed to receive and to then adjust your subscriptions accordingly.

First you will need to go to your user profile and navigate to the Email & Notifications section.



On this tab, it will show you all the notification options for each community that you are a member of. There are options for the following kinds of notifications:
  • Send me emails at my primary email address about new replies on topics I have posted, replied to, or followed
  • Send me emails at my primary email address about new topics posted on products (in categories) that I follow
  • Send me email atmy primary email addressaboutstars (likes)on my replies and comments
  • Send me email atmy primary email addressaboutme tooson topics I have posted
If these are checked, that means that you will receive email notifications for both of these. You can uncheck the boxes to turn the email notifications off.

If you wish to turn your community notifications off, and essentially unsubscribe from community activity, you will need to be sure that all four boxes are unchecked.

Then click the "Save Email & Notifications" button to save your settings.

And this useful posting from Tashina will now slide inexorably off the top of the Community, since GetSat does not have Stickies :-(

Something not covered above, but which I described somewhere I can't find any more, is a sort of 'fine-grained/bulk' selective unsubscribe:-

Go to your Profile, as described above;

Choose Show Topics "I'm following" in "All Communities" (or just one Community if you prefer);

You will see an 'Unfollow' button under each posting listed, and you can work down the list very quickly and selectively for Topics you are no longer interested in.

Without having to wait for emails to pop up, and then Unfollow them individually.

I'm afraid none of these help or work. I am not following anything, and all boxes have been unchecked for some time now. Yet, despite this and no other reference whatsoever to any topic, subject or interest--NOTHING--stops these overwhelming, perpetual Quicken e-mails.
Nor is there any ability to contact anyone associated with this so-called  getsatisfaction intrusive, abusive bunch of masochists or whatever you can address them. Why are these people so d--n arrogant? I cannot even find a way to completely disassociate with this mess. I will gladly provide you with whatever information you need to do this for me. It is the worst thing I ever associated with, and I am quite computer literate.

Hi angelsdtp, I have checked on our end and it looks like there are no emails being sent to you from our servers over the past couple of days. Can you confirm that the emails you are receiving are from @getsatisfaction or are they coming from another source, possible directly from Quicken?
