How do I delete or close my Get Satisfaction user account?

I want to close my personal Get Satisfaction account, but I'm not sure how to do that. Can you walk me through the steps?

To close your personal Get Satisfaction account you'll need to have a password set for your user account.

If you already have an account password, follow the steps outlined in the first image. If you haven't yet set your Get Satisfaction password, skip to the steps in the second image.

1. I already have a Get Satisfaction password.



2. I don't have a password for my Get Satisfaction account.



If you have any questions or need assistance closing your account, please start a new topic, or submit a support ticket to our team.

Please note: This will de-activate your personal account only. To cancel a paid community account, visit the Account Details page in the Admin section of your community.

This is so frustrating/confusing, getsatisfaction seems to have created countless guides on using their tools but finding that tools menu is impossible! At least it is extremely confusing to me and I am not seeing it.
I would like to delete both my accounts, community and user.

Hi Amy thanks for the response but I'm looking in particular to delete the community which is what is actively billing.

I don't see that 'community tools' menu, besides it says I need help from getsatisfaction to delete community? How do I get access to that toolbar

I have two accounts, one the official one which I believe I used to create the community then this one which I was going to use as an employee. In my first account I see an extra link in Profile called "Your Companies" but there is nothing inside. It seems my community is out there with no owner.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you! It does look like your community is out there with no owner. :( Do you happen to know the URL or name of your community? If you know one of those two I can look it up and cancel the account for you. So sorry for the frustrations!!

How can I talk to someone directly over the phone or privately i feel oppressed I have no means to do what I want.

I have located your community. Your premium account will shut down at the end of your current billing period which is 3/24/2012. This means you still have access to your Start Plan features until then. We can remove search engine indexing in the meantime. Please let us know if you'd like us to remove indexing. We'll then make a note to remove your community on 3/24.

Please don't hesitate to call, email or post on this thread if you have any other questions.

It sounds like you closed your user account as opposed to closing your community account. I'm so sorry for the frustration! I'm going to send you an email right now and help get everything straightened out. Sorry!

Could you please delete my account and my community?

I did not plan to seriously use it. I just wanted to test it. However, you have billed me once without my permission. Please stop billing me immediately.

In the last week I sent several emails to billing@getsatisfaction.com to get the money back but no one replied to me. If you do not reply to me I am going to file a credit dispute to get the money back.
