You can manage your notifications by clicking on "Your Account" in the top bar and then clicking on "Your Notifications" in the Your Account section.

Every registered user's account is set to receive email notifications when updates are made to topics they've participated in. If you'd prefer not to receive these email notifications just uncheck the box next to the text "Send me email about new replies on topics I have posted, replied to, or followed".

If you are affiliated with a company in an official capacity within Satisfaction you can also manage notifications from your company site(s). You can elect to receive emails for all new topic posts in your Satisfaction site or to receive an RSS feed of the newest topics and/or all topics with new activity.

I just clicked on "Your notifications" and got an error message. Same thing several times.

When you enter an e-mail address, you should receive an e-mail with a confirmation link. Sometimes, that can go to a spam folder. So, check that if you are able. I am showing that your e-mail address is a Yahoo address. Is that correct? Are you able to check that account?

Satisfaction

Satisfaction

You can also receive email notifications of any topic by clicking the "Follow this discussion" link for a "Talk" post, the "I have this problem too" button for a "Problem" post, the "I have this question too" button for a "Question" post, or the "I like this idea too" button on an "Idea" post.
You can now follow companies and products on Get Satisfaction!
Uploading a different photo which has the same file name results in the image not being updated

Or, you can elect to follow (or un-follow) a topic or receive an RSS feed of a topic without having to say "I have this question too", etc. Just use the Share/Follow box in the right column and click on the "Follow" tab:

Additionally, you can now opt to follow companies and products. They, along with topics you're following, will show up on your dashboard and you can subscribe to a RSS feed of your dashboard.

If I set my account to receive a notification for ALL new posts AND responses involving AirSet, will these notification e-mails include the actual text of the posts and responses? Or will they be mere notifications where I would have to go into Get Satisfaction to view their actual content?

I understand how to turn off notifications... but what if I want to turn off only SOME notifications e.g. the ones where my question has been answered. In other words, I post two questions after following several posts one of them gets resolved. How do I turn-off notification for just the answered question?

In that case, silvervein, you can stop following a topic and you won't get anymore e-mail notifications about it. You can find that in the upper-right hand corner of a topic page. Like so:

Or, you can choose "Stop following this question" in your e-mail. The latter is probably the easiest choice. It appears in every e-mail notification about a topic.

thanks... I didn't see it before... I originally tried to find an FAQ/manual/intro guide on the site but there wasn't anything. I understand you guys like to use the site as designed but it would be helpful to have a traditional intro guide or something (maybe you do and I missed it... which would mean it isn't easy to find).

The notification configuration needs to be a little more granular. I'm still getting responses from a question that I've stopped following (and no longer care about), I think because I created/started the question. It's marked as unfollowed, but the setting for managing emails says "topics I've posted, replied to, or followed". So if I turn if off to get rid of this, I think I'll lose ALL email notifications, which I don't want.

Ideally, an unfollow should trump everything else, don't you think? Even if I started a question, if I unfollow it, it should leave me alone from then on.

It's possible there's a different reason that I'm still getting emails, but I don't see it (I agree with others that an overview page that I could set follow/unfollow from with a click would be very helpful. I don't see how to do that easily on dashboard right now).

But if I can stop getting emails from my Plazes question (which I don't even use anymore!), that'd be great for starters. *grin* Thanks.

The email with my password went to my spam box but I always check that box anyway in case there's something in there that shouldn't be. Just as well eh!

There should be more choices to the notifications we wish to respond to. It is like an all or nothing choice. We need the freedom and more selections.

I agree! In addition to my primary email I need to be able to get text messages and/or choose other notification methods to ensure I am on top of things in a timely way.

I'd find the following incredibly useful: an option to receive a notification when an official company representative responds to a topic, but not otherwise.

I do not want to get a notification every time someone adds a response. I only want to be notified of an answer. I expect that after 1 year given the suggestions made by prior responders to this topic, and comments such as Amy's: "Agreed! We plan to redesign the notification system so that we can give users more refined controls." something would have happened. As it is configured, I find this notification feature annoying.

I have unchecked all of the boxes, I am not receiving the RSS feed and I am still receiving emails for every topic to our company. Help!
