We have approx. 15 employees on Get Satisfaction and I'm wondering if there's a way we can change the alert settings so that not everyone is emailed every time a question is asked.Everyone belongs to different departments and not everyone needs to be notified about every issue raised.

how do I stop Get Satisfaction from emailing all employees for every issue?.
Hello,

Okay? I need a help! I follow the thread below, but do not receive the email notifications, I've checked everything I could. What can I do?

Thanks!

Hi Alexandre. It looks like your notifications settings are correct, so if you've clicked "Follow this idea" for that topic, the only reason you wouldn't be receiving notifications when someone posts to that topic is if those notifications are being caught by your spam filter.
Hi Ki, I've checked that too. I already removed and added the topic too, but nothing changed. The strange thing is that I get from others.

I'm sorry it took me so long to respond to your question. I did a little more research and found out that when topics exceed a certain number of participants, (this one has upward of 2500), we limit notifications to employees only. I'm so sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.
Hello Ki, thank you for the feedback. It is a pity, because in cases of very active forums such as this email is a great tool, since only show the last 15 posts.

It seems only admins of a company can get RSS feeds of recent activity.

I'd like to be able to follow a company more closely as a customer, particularly with RSS feeds.

Thanks,
Tim

Hi, I closed my account a month ago but still got billed yesterday. I am not really sure how it happened. Please help me to resolve the issue. I would really like to close the account, and would like to get refund if possible.

Thanks,

I am following a company and all of it's products and I don't get emails on all of the new topics or replies. I want it all! where is that button? I would rather use a google group than this convoluted system of updates with a dozen different rules for when you get an email.

Hey Bron.

I'm sorry for your frustration. You can subscribe to an RSS feed of all new topics and replies in the Code On Time community with the following URL:

http://community.codeontime.com/codeo...

I hope this helps.

Hi.

I can't for the life of me stop getting notifications to this topic: http://forum.rhapsody.com/rhapsody/to...

I've unfollowed a load of times. The UI says I'm not following it. And yet, somehow, it keeps coming to my inbox. Can you please help? I don't want to turn off all email notifications - I just don't want to know about that thread any more.

Cheers,

Nick.

How do I get off these lists?
I certainly do not need EVERY person’s reply to a general question – I didn’t even subscribe to that.
I don’t understand this new trend in help centers to subscribe you to the myriad of answers that are posted. It's email abuse and is annoying as anything. Would ANYone benefit from an extra 20 emails a week for a one time problem? Really????

Time to delete my account. CHANGE YOUR POLICY!

Sorry, this is a bug that happens when you have the "Send me email at my primary email address about new replies on topics I have posted, replied to, or followed" checkbox unchecked, but are subscribed to all new topics or all new topics and replies for a company.

For now, the fix is to check the box next to "Send me email at my primary email address about new replies on topics I have posted, replied to, or followed" in your email and notifications page, and you will start to receive your notifications as usual.

Sorry.

I was recently made a Champion and given some moderator access for a company. I would like to be able to get notifications when any new posts are made but I can't seem to figure it out.

I would love to have some assistance. Thank you.

Hi Bethany. I'd love to be able to give set this up for you, but unfortunately, we don't currently offer the ability for champions to receive all notifications for a community. Others have suggested this idea - and I encourage you to add you vote.

Congratulations on your new role!

I followed everything listed above and unchecked the box requesting email notifications and yet I STILL keep getting several emails each and every single day. I no longer want to continue receiving emails each time someone posts a question or a comment. What else can I do to stop them?

Hi Debra. I'm wondering if you might have another Get Satisfaction account that's generating those notifications... Can you do me a favor and forward the next notification email in it's entirety to support at get satisfaction dot com so I can take a look? So sorry for the frustration.

Getting to the dashboard answers all of my questions, but I don't see the top GetSatisfaction bar when I'm in the Battlefield 3 page. I have to leave that and come to the main site to access and modify the topics that I am following.

Other than that I'm enjoying this service.

I have a new employee who I would like to get emails from Get Satisfaction.
How do I add her email address?
Or is there a standard email & I should add her to the distribution?
Thanks,
Nikki

Hi. I'm an admin for a community (http://feedback.rd.springer.com) and although I have set up my account to receive all possible emails, I am not getting any. I have checked my corporate spam filter and the emails are not in there. Further, when I click on the "verify" button next to my email address, nothing happens.

Help!

Hi Brian. Your account does look like it's set up correctly, however, I don't see any community activity that would have generated a notification recently (your own topics, replies, and comments won't generate emails sent to you). Can you point us to any activity that should have generated an email that you didn't receive?

Hi there,

This is the support community for Get Satisfaction. I see you posted the same comments in the Facebook community first. Is it possible you left these comments here by mistake? You can find the Facebook community again here:

Thanks! :)

Hi,

I'm admin for Yoono, and I didn't receive any notification email for new topics or replies to existing topics since Jan. 11th.

I have checked my account settings, checkboxes, and my email spam folder. Nothing...

I know that a few days ago we had an issue with our email due to serious issues at mydomain.com, emails sent to us bounced, do you think your system could have kind of black listed them ?

Thanks for your help.

Hey Reivax. So sorry for not responding to you sooner. It looks like you're email address was added to our email service's bounce list on Jan. 11th and was removed from that list this morning. My apologies again for missing your post yesterday. Thanks.

I have not been getting notication messages since early February. Have tried unchecking the "Send me email at primary email address," then saving, then rechecking it, then saving again. No go.

Tried entering a secondary email address. Saving. Making that email primary. Deleting the older email address. Still doesn't work. Tho' I get the message "Notification preferences have been saved" it makes no difference. I get NO notifications.

This is probably a problem on your end, as Yidar noticed - something went wrong somewhere.

Please fix. Thanks.

p.s.: And, BTW, even when I ask for verification of email address, I get zero notification. :::sigh:::
Hello,

I am currently receiving mail only for mail verification. Nothing for newly created topics, not answer to topics I have participated to (although I am the administrator and have selected "Notify me of all new topics in.." and "Notify me of every new topic and every new reply in...".

Any idea about the reason?

Hi Pierre-Yves,

I just took a look at your account and it looks like everything is set up fine. My hunch is that our system will not send you email notifications when your profile creates an action (question, problem, replies etc.). I'd like to test this by posting my own question in your community to see if you get an email notification. Would that be ok? Please let me know.

Thanks!
Caty

As the topic or reply author, you will see an "edit" button when you hover over the content, as long as there have been no replies to it yet.

If there has been a reply, let me know what you would like changed and I can do it as a platform admin.

Thanks,
Jenn

Hi Elias,

I am so sorry to hear you aren't getting notifications, I know how hard that can be.

I see 13 emails sent from our service in the last two days, and none of them have arrived? Is this the same email account from the one you used to post here?

We are working hard to reduce the number of emails going to spam. But it sounds like you are still not getting the emails on your end. Did you check your spam folder for these? Could there be a filter that is causing them not to be received? Thanks!

Jenn
