Offer a way for community employees to send a message or post to all employees only

We have a scenario where we need to make an "employee only" notification or post so that we can have them see it when logged in, kind of like an announcement for the community.

Is there a way to do this currently?

Great question! Unfortunately we do not have an "employees only" announcement feature. It's a very cool idea though! What types of information would you share with this type of feature? Would sending an all-employees email suffice?

When you mention sending an all-employees email, are you referring to one through the GetSat Admin/Management area or one internally? I ask because in this scenario, not all employees are registered with local or internal email addresses.

Ideally, some sort of notification or announcement that could show on the home page when an employee logged in would be nice. I suppose an email feature would work as well. Then again, it could also be a combination of the two where a notification appears on the home page when an employee logs in, but they also receive an email notifying them of a new "Employee announcement" or notification when it is created.

I may be over thinking it or over complicating it. It any case, it would be nice to be able to get an announcement or notification to the employees of the community.

I was talking about sending one internally, but if not all of your employees are registered with internal emails then it makes sense to want some sort of employee-only notification feature.

I do like where you're headed with this, so I'm going to turn this topic into an Idea and vet it by our product team the next time I speak with them. I'll update the thread & the status as I get an idea of whether or not it'll be considered for the roadmap. :)

I appreciate it. A feature like this would make it much easier to manage notifications to the employees that moderate the community and help keep those that are out of the office or not registered with a work email address aware of events. We already have a couple cases here where this would be useful so I am excited to see what the product team thinks.

Hey there! This idea was reviewed in the latest feature request meeting and unfortunately it's not in our current plan. :( However, I talked to the team about your use case and how I'd use this particular feature in our own community, and they understand the value in it -- especially as it relates to workflows and team management. I'm tagging the topic internally so I can keep track of it and will absolutely update the status if anything changes.

I appreciate the follow up on it and letting me know the status. I have been able to come up with a few creative solutions to my work around this and some other pieces, and they seem to be working beautifully at this time.

That's not to say I wouldn't like to see this added in the future ;)
