Timeline is the new hotness, and nothing goes with new hotness like classic cool. To really maximize the conversation your Timeline page drives, you need to make sure you have Get Satisfaction integrated into your Facebook page and also easy for your customers to find. Then sit back and watch the conversations fly!

Step one:

Setup your Facebook Get Satisfaction app from the admin section.
You can see this from the admin page that looks like:
getsatisfaction.com/[COMMUNITY]/account/facebook

It looks like this:

Click Install Now.

Step Two:

Approve the Get Satisfaction app from Facebook. The Install Now button will redirect you to the Facebook page to do this.

It looks like this:

Then

Then

Step Three:

Configure the Get Satisfaction app in Facebook. Again, this will be the automatic next step in the process after you approve the Facebook app.

It looks like this:

Step Four:

Get the icon you want to use for the Feedback Tab. You may already have one that works for you, but if you prefer, we also have a selection of icons to choose from, thanks for Sarah. You can scroll down in the blog post and either right click to save the image you like or download the whole zip file.

It looks like this:

Step Five:

Use the handy dandy icon you selected for your Get Satisfaction Feedback Tab.

Go to the Facebook page and select the "Manage" button, then "Edit Page." Select "Apps" on the left. Select the Get Satisfaction app. Set up the Custom Tab Image and Custom Tab Name fields.

It looks like this:

Then

Step Six:

Put the Feedback Tab in the top app spots for your Timeline page so people see it and join the conversation. This is a key step because anything that isn't in the top four spots is hard to notice.

From your Timeline page, you should be able to hover over the apps installed. This will bring up a pencil icon. When you select the pencil icon, you can choose to swap the Get Satisfaction app with one of the other apps higher up in the list.

You're Done!

Hi Jenn,

We've been using the GS Facebook app for some time now.

Am I correct in thinking that there is no need for us to take any action to update our installation of the GS app on Facebook?

With thanks,
Andrew

Hi Andrew!

I took a look and your set up looks awesome. It is easy to find the support tab:

And your Get Satisfaction tab looks great once you are in:

One note I would add is that if you wanted to add a banner to the Get Satisfaction page, to make it feel more a part of the FundRazr timeline, you can do that as well.

Thanks for checking in! I love what you have done!

Hi Andy--can you provide some more details about what you're looking for? Are you looking to set up a Facebook integration with Get Satisfaction? Thanks!

Hi Araneta

We do have a version of our software that is free, but, it does not come with the Facebook integration. You can see all our plans here:

Does the Facebook tab / app also come with the small business edition?

Hey John,

Actually the Small Business plan isn't available anymore. I'll have a Product Specialist reach out to you with more information. They can also help you figure out the plan that's right for you. Sorry for the confusion!

Ah, you're actually right John! I got the Small Business Edition mixed up with one of our old plans--sorry about that! The Small Business Edition does come with the Facebook App. You should have received an email from Shane earlier today.

Hope this helps, and sorry again for the miscommunication!
