I am glad you do announce. I have one observation though: since this does not seem to be an emergency downtime, I wish you could announce these outages at LEAST 24hrs before the downtime starts, since the system is a GLOBAL system and reading such downtime the day AFTER the changes have been done does not make sense to me.

Hi Tashina,
Is there any reason that the update would have affected redirects?  We have an email with a link to a post in GetSat that we sent out this morning--if I'm logged in, the link works--if I'm logged out, the site won't load.  I tweeted but no response :(

Any ideas?  We're getting hammered with complaints--

Is this the only topic this is happening with? Or is it happening with others as well? If so, can you please send us some additional links so that we can investigate further.

Also, for future reference, the community is the best place to contact us with questions instead of Twitter. When we get questions on Twitter, we usually ask that the person post it in the community.

I understand, but in an emergency situation, what is one to do?  We sent out 800K emails with this link--

It appears to only be this link--this link was archived and unarchived, so I don't know if that's causing issues now--

Are you logged in to the community?  It works fine if you're logged in--if you're in incognito, does it work?

FWIW, the link above works for me in Firefox and Chrome, private/incognito or not.  Was the link in the email a direct link to the thread or is it a tracking link, unique to each email recipient?

Hey guys, we just found and resolved the issue within the last few minutes. It was related to some caching we had added late last week. Currently we're unsure why it affected this specific topic and not many others, still looking into that.
