Hello,
I play the browsergame My Free Farm (www.myfreefarm.de or .com) with premium account under Firefox (now v13). In this game, you have to plant seeds and crop fruits or vegetables. And with premium, you can do this with one click. But planting and cropping triggers a lot (about 240) (nearly identical) ajax-requests and loads 240 images.
But with ghostery installed, this simple click on "plant all" leeds to 100% cpu-load on my quadcore cpu for roundabout 30-90 seconds and freezes firefox for this time. But with ghostery uninstalled, the problem is gone.
I added all URLs to white list tho prevent scanning fom ghostery, but no result. Same if i disable ghostery with tolbarbutton.
The only way is to uninstall ghostery or disable tha addon itsself.
Has sonebody an idea? Thanks!

Hi Blaue, thanks for using Ghostery.
Have you tried unchecking the "Scan for dynamically inserted page elements" in Advanced options to see if its better? -

With this option, it is much better, thx. Only one core (out of 4) is at 100% für around 5 seconds.
But with this option enabled, ghostery blocks less elements globaly. And I want to block (nearly) all scripts, pixels and so on, incl. dynamic included ones.
The question is, why scans ghostery all of the requests, when the domain is on whitelist?-
Hey Blaue. The option does not affect blocking: blocking will still be performed, but displaying the proper entry in the purple box might suffer if the site loads its items dynamically.
Whitelisting means that Ghostery will allow all trackers through on that domain, but it still scans and reports what it sees there. -
