After today's update 25% CPU load for FF when a web-site-tab is foreground and Ghostery dedects blocking items. The popup (= list of blocked items top right) does not disappear. When switching to a tab where Ghostery does not dedect any blocking items CPU-load for FF is 0%.

Hi Michael,
Thanks for using Ghostery and for the feedback!
We will investigate this issue.. If you can provide any example URLS that would be most helpful. -

I just installed Ghostery for the first time and came here because I am having exactly the same issue (25% CPU load, but having 4 cores this means 1 process is having 100% load -- in my case Firefox).
I have apprx. 20 tabs open and the issue only occurs when the Ghostry icon is showing that there are blocked elements on the current tab. High CPU load only goes away if I switch to a tab with no blocked elements (or disable the Addon-Bar entry) -- minimizing FF does not have any effect.
As said the problem happens with ALL pages that have blocked elements, but if you absolutely need an example URL:
