Seeing that behaviour, I'd go so far as to also block less-obviously-tracky images on their domain(s), like:
img src="http://res3.feedsportal.com/social/tw..." border="0"
Also on that Euronews feed, there are feedburner beacons that don't get blocked (maybe my Opera 12's content blocker kicks in beforehand, but I'm not too sure) like:
img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/eurone..." height="1" width="1"

Added, tho this may cause some adverse reactions since its also the actual feed endpoints. Will monitor.

feedsportal.com was added to ghostery but placeholders was not hide: please hide placeholders for all feedsportal.com references removed from ghostery a.s.a.p.
P.S. mark this my request IMPLEMENTED and not UNDER CONSIDERATION
P.P.S. ADBlock Plus remove all placeholders for all istances removed of feedsportal.com ...
