Ugh, what a mess. :-(
First of all, most of the sites I looked at that used MediaCreeper also had the original Creeper tracker, so dealing with that should be a prerequisite.
Second, their current snippet is toxic! Yes, it can be detected, but I promise you're not going to like what happens if you try to block it. (We'll need to test this in all major browsers, and submit bug reports where appropriate.)
Finally, there's another variant they didn't tell you about. Example: www.xtremecreator.com
MediaCreeper
Website: www.mediacreeper.com
Pattern: /(mediacreeper\\.com|mediacreeper\\.se|www\\.b19\\.se\\/mediacreeper)\\/image/
Proposed for local monitoring only — do not add to public database at this time.

Felix Shnir January 14, 2014 03:47Looks like a plain vanilla tracking image, whats wrong with adding this widely?EditDeleteRemove

Eric P. Scott January 14, 2014 05:11It behaves like malware, implementing a Denial of Service attack that will lock up the browser. Someone who seizes control over the tracker could presumably provoke widespread disruption across Sweden, with collateral damage in Denmark, Norway, and Germany. Look closely; it's a rather clever exploit.EditDeleteRemove
