I think you should add to the blacklist metrics.metricsrcs.it (should be like this), that charges for example with corriere.it.
Thank you,

1I think you meant metrics.rcsmetrics.it instead. This is a SiteCatalyst tracking server, and it won't be accessed if you block Omniture (and JavaScript is enabled; otherwise, there's a <noscript> fallback).
The best way to blacklist something like this isn't with Ghostery, but by using your browser's native blocking capabilties.
Here's how to do it in Firefox:
Open Preferences (or Options if you're using Windows), and click on the Content tab.
To the right of "Load images automatically" there's a button labeled Exceptions...; click that. In the box labeled "Address of web site:" enter metrics.rcsmetrics.it then click Block. Repeat with smetrics.rcsmetrics.it. Then click Close.
For cookie blocking, click on the Privacy tab.
You need to select "Use custom settings for history" to reveal this feature.
To the right of "Accept cookies from sites" there's an Exceptions... button. Click that; for each tracking domain, enter it and click Block. Then Close.
This method of blocking is tedious to set up, but 100% effective: even if Omniture's scripts are allowed to execute, they can no longer report back to the mothership.

Thank you for your kind and very useful reply, Eric. But this is just for Firefox, which is my default browser, nontheless I use often also Safari and Opera (and that's why I appreciate Ghostery being available also for these browsers). I will check the options of my other browsers!
Thanks!

Sig, this would have been detected as Omniture, but when its unblocked, we allow all patterns through that are associated with the unblocked tracker.
