adverse event on 2/15000 pages with COOKIES ON -- GOOD JOB!
About a week ago I turned on the new BLOCK COOKIES. In a week of normal browsing I have come across TWO pages that had some trouble loading -- doing research I visit between 20 and 500 pages a day, and having only TWO pages lock up on me - meaning they would not load all the way -- is pretty amazing. So -- just to report to the community that turning ON the block cookies - and ALL the cookies 340 as of today -- really doesn't hurt much, and if I HAD to have a page, I could just turn it off, or start accepting 3d party cookies. GOOD WORK GUYS!!! If I average 300 pages a day that's 2 blocked pages out of 1500! 2/1500 not loading is probably above average for most web surfers (meaning most people would normally hit 2 pages that wouldn't load no matter what you did, so it's probably NOT the problem of Ghostery -- I was too busy to play with ghostery to KNOW, but they are index pages I've used before. It COULD have been statistical failure, but I doubt it, and would guess it's a 3d party coiokie not loading. I like this feature - especially since I can turn off the "block all cookies" in less than 5-10 seconds.
