Ghostery and Collusion: tracker slipped through unblocked?
This is either a problem of yours or one of Collusion. I'm starting with you first since I installed your first ;-) Collusion keeps reporting that Neilson is tracking (red dot) and shows the pickup web source as the Huffington Post. However, visiting the HP site I can re-confirm (linned out) that I have asked Ghostery to block all add tracking applications. Further, there are no other Ghostery listings.

I am using Ghostery and I am using Collusion. I want to understand why Collusion continues to report links to other sites when I have Ghostery set to block trackers.

Hi Eric and Mark, thanks for using Ghostery.
Collusion list is a bit different than the one Ghostery uses. Collusion list is based on domains, while Ghostery list is a bit more extensive and includes various scripts and other payloads. Additionally, collusion simply tracks 3rd party domains, meaning anything thats not the same domain you are on. As said, Ghostery has a specific list of items to look for and blocks only that.
I'll review Collusion list and see if there are gaps that our privacy teams needs to work on. -
