Can I make a suggestion for the new version based on what I saw in the Firefox Beta. If you make an exception for, say, one tracker on one particular site, there's no way currently of telling that by looking at the toolbar icon.
When visiting a site it's useful, at a glance, to understand what you're blocking and what you're not. I choose not to use the pop-up as I feel that it gets in the way so having an immediate visual indication via the toolbar icon would be very handy. Could you perhaps make the numeric 'count' on the icon change colour (red?) when you re-visit a site with exception(s)? That would prompt the user to use the findings panel to review.
Thanks.

Hi Jem,
I am still not sure why you would want to be notified of site-specific exceptions. Why the need to review in those cases? -

All I can say is that this is the way I currently use DNTMe which uses a toolbar icon notification 'colour change':
When I see it, it prompts me to check to see whether the 'guilty' site still forces the user into some kind of dependency on that 'unblocked' tracker or not, i.e. to run videos or magnify an image. I'd rather not unblock any tracker if it's avoidable and if I find, as I did on one occasion, that the dependency has magically gone, then I'll start blocking it again on that site.
I appreciate that the Ghostery pop-up achieves this but, frankly, I'd rather not have a pop up appearing at all for the reasons I stated. Also of course, the pop-up disappears whereas a toolbar 'indicator' is always present without being intrusive. -
