blocking high load for simple static HTML page (DGS)

I don't know what horrible thing is happening, but ghostery makes my firefox totally unusable for about a minute on each page page load on dragongoserver.net -- specifically on the board display pages, but never on any other pages there. I imagine this is due to the high number of tags required to display all the cells of the go board ... OTOH, it's not that many cells.

Try it with and without ghostery in firefox... you'll likely see what I mean.

    Hi Jettero! Thanks for using Ghostery.

    I'm not experiencing any slow downs on this page when I test it. We do have a new version of Ghostery that has a much improved detection algorithm. If you want to test it out and see if it helps you, email me at felix@betteradvertising.com

    Hrm, I should retry with all my add-ons disabled except that one and report back.

    It's definitely Ghostery. I had all my plugins disabled except G and it had significant load delays. Then I turned it off also and it loads instantly. I tried disabling the blocking and turning it back on but the results were inconclusive. My thinking was that it had to do all 238 pattern checks one after the other. It's true that these are polynomially related: 238*N = O(N); but if it's actually checking each blocking rule one after the other, that could easily be the problem.

    That didn't actually make any difference though. Interesting.

    I'm also going to try profiling with Venkman... results shortly ...

    Evidentally, this is the best I can do... venkman doesn't seem to collect meaningful profile statistics, can't display them (internal DOM security error) or I simply don't know how to work it (highly probable):

    Curiously, this seems to be reporting only 1.7 seconds in the gcp script. I know it's at least 20 real life seconds, so maybe these are CPU seconds? or maybe my firefox is choking before or after this? Weird.
