The blocking feature seems to not work. I have blocking enabled on bluekai. When I go to http://www.foxnews.com/ it shows bluekia is blocked. However there is a 1px x 1px gif on the page with source

Hi Ethan, thanks for using Ghostery.
Ghostery only scans and blocks -

I received this
Felix Shnir, an employee of Ghostery, replied to Blocking not working on bluekia, a problem about Ghostery.
Hi Ethan, thanks for using Ghostery.
Ghostery only scans and blocks
I don't know what this means. The bluekai bug/beacon was in my mind NOT blocked since it ended up on the page as a 1px x 1px gif. It is on my blocking list and blocking is enabled, to me that means that it should have never reached my browser. I would assume that the Ghostery add-on would stop any outbound GET's going to the bluekai.com domain requesting an image to accomplish this. So is there a problem with Ghostery?
Thank you -

Hi Ethan, my apologies, I wrote a whole reply, but I must of cut it off some how. My fault. Here is what I wrote.
Ghostery by default only scans and blocks script tags. It also blocks images and iframe tags, but this functionality needs to be enabled under the Ghostery Options -> Performance -> Check "Scand and block images". Its off by default because this was added in the 2.1 release, and it negatively affects performance of Ghostery slightly (makes it a tiny bit slower). Once this is checked tho, Ghostery will also stop tracking pixels deployed through img tags. -

Thanks. Have checked it and will try in the AM. Currently enjoying some wine.

Just checked it out with "Scan and block images" checked; and, it blocks them.
With regard to: "Ghostery will also stop tracking pixels deployed through img tags." - I personally am not interested in tracking beacons, just want to block them to avoid to the greatest extent possible being tracked by advertisers or Google or anyone. -
