Can I opt out of being tracked BY Ghostery? Can I use it without you knowing who I am and what I'm doing? Any alternatives don't track me?

Does running Ghostery make me a member of "Evidon’s worldwide, 300,000-member Ghostery panel, which can see web pages and tracking code that scanners miss"? That's described in http://www.businesswire.com/news/home...

From reading that, it sounds like Ghostery is tracking me, and tracking all the trackers and what I do with them.
