I’m curious

Can preferences be configured to block or allow a particular function on a particular domain?

Can preferences be configured to block or allow a particular function on a particular domain? For example, allow cookies to be written for X.com, but block for all others. Or block quantcast scripts for X.com and Y.org, but allow for others?

  • Hi aj, thanks for using Ghostery.

Currently, Ghostery supports site whitelisting only. When Ghostery encounters a whitelisted site, it will do the regular scanning, but will not block any trackers it finds. This isn't exactly what you are looking for: per-site controls, but this is available now while we contemplate how to implement site controls.

  • I would like to see a change to the options so we can Block/Allow a Bug universally (currently what we have) and Allow/Block Bugs by individual Sites.

Right now I can block or allow a bug for all sites. We can also say allow all bugs on a single site. We need the next step where on a single site I can allow select the bugs I wish to track me or work.

As a very general example, this would allow functions like Facebook Connect to work when I would like it to, yet still block other ad tracking on that site. I don't have troubles with Facebook knowing I am on Twitter, I just don't need them knowing when i am shopping...
