Argh! Can't download ghostery, it constantly says "CHECKING..." Tried a dozen times, re-loaded chrome, etc. Do I need to have signed up for google+ to get ghostery? Or is this a chrome bug?
Worked fine w Safari..

Hi Jessie,
Which version of Chrome do you have? Are you downloading from the Web Store? Are you able to install other extensions? -
-
MacOS 10.7.4
Google Chrome 18.0.1025.168
Yes from webstore.
It does appear that I'm having trouble downloading another privacy extension.
I will update chrome now and re-try and get back to you in 2 mins. Please hold... -

So you can't install any extensions from Web Store? Do you have anything, like a hosts file entry, that blocks Google Analytics?

Jessie, could you see if any of the suggestions in http://productforums.google.com/forum... help?

Same problem here - Ghostery website redirects to the Chrome web store - https://chrome.google.com/webstore/de...
Which opens a child window "Ghostery" When I click the blue "add to Chrome" button in the top-right, a "confirm new extension" window appears. I click on "add" and it closes, returning me to the Ghostery app window. The top-right button changes from "Add" to "Checking". Waited for 15 minutes before giving up. At no point does Ghostery appear to install or show up in Extensions. -
