Can't get Ghostery working.
Using AOL9.5, Windows Vista, IE 8 and have downloaded Ghostery but nothing shows up, no icon, nothing. Went to Tools and "added" it, but still nothing. No purple box either. . Did get it loaded on Firefox without much problem, though, but use AOL more. Also, uninstalled and re-installed and still get above results. All that really did was Firefix and Ghostery have issues with Yahoo toolbar. Any help appreciated. Thank you.

Hi J, thanks for using Ghostery.
If you are using AOL branded IE, then Ghostery will not work on it. You need to use plain IE.
In Firefox, when a Yahoo! Toolbar is present, Ghostery does't work :(. You need to pick one or the other. Were trying to resolve this issue with Yahoo! teasm, but its been a very slow process.Comment -

Okay, you're talking to a dummy here! This computer stuff is maddening for me. How do I know if I'm using AOL "branded IE" or not and how would I get "plain IE"?
On Firefox, I did not initally get the conflict warning, but when I did, I closed (I think!) the Yahoo toolbar as it said and Ghostery seems to be working. I get the purple pop-up box, doesn't that mean it's working?
