changing ghostery data dir location

how can i change the data dir path so that multiple profiles can use the same data?

fx 16.0.2, ghostery 2.8.3

    i guess it's not yet planned. i think it may benefit resources consumption for people with multiple profiles, eg. fx beta/aurora testers usually have several profiles & they create/delete profiles frequently

      You're joking, right? Compare Ghostery's impact with places.sqlite and urlclassifier3.sqlite. Not even close.

      i'm not, during testing it's important for the files you mentioned & others not to be shared between profiles, it helps localize bugs, that why a common troubleshooting is to create a new profile / safe mode

      on the other hand i don't need separate set of addon files for each profile, unless i'm testing the addon

      testing fx pre-releases takes time & during that period i'd like get a bit of privacy as well

      even for normal use, those files aren't meant to shared (after all they're what make profiles distinct from each other), but code, settings, & data of most addons can be appropriately shared between profiles, & fx only manage the code location

      btw, some leading addons (eg. adblockplus) have implemented this ability for the exact reason above
