Ghostery causing content on some web sites not to be displayed

I have been having an issue with Firefox 6 for some time now where some content in certain web sites is not displayed. when this happens, I use IE for that web site.
However, I have finally tracked the problem to ghostery.
I attach 2 images:
a) ghostery1.jpg and ghostery3.jpg shows 2 different pages from groupon with content missing and white space displayed. Ghostery addin is enabled.
b) ghostery2.jpg and ghostery4.jpg shows the same groupon sites correctly displayed with ghostery disabled. So it is caused by ghostery.

I never knew you messed with content .. only tracking and this is disappointing. If I had groupon.com to your disabled tracking list, the site display correctly but I never know which site is missing content and I am not willing to run an extension that can mess with displayed content.

You'll need to unblock Facebook Connect until we have a fix for this. Groupon appears to be getting stuck on FB.Event.subscribe(), which the surrogate doesn't cover (yet).

I already had Facebook Connect blocked (under blocking options) and it is still happening. So that is not the reason.

Hi Brian, thanks for using Ghostery.

From walk-through: " Ghostery can prevent the page elements it detects from running in your browser. 3pes that are blocked will appear crossed out in the notification bubble. Blocking 3pes will prevent them from running in your browser, which can help control how your behavioral data is tracked. Keep in mind that some 3pes are potentially useful, such as social network feed widgets or browser-based games... so blocking may have an unintended effect on the sites you visit. "

We do warn users that blocking has side-effects, but truly, the depth of the issue depends on a given site and how deeply they integrate the third parties that you have decided to block using Ghostery. We do offer mitigation technologies in the innards of Ghostery, and sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. I'm going to apply new surrogate (a replacement script so the errors do not happen) for Groupon that should help, please update your bug definitions some time tomorrow to receive the latest updates.

I uploaded the new bug list, but it did not fix the issue.
NP as I added this site to the exclusion list. I understand the blocking might have side effects and I will use it now knowing that (which I did not realize before) but to not have important content (as opposed to facebook/twitter etc) is concerning as to what others sites it has happening on without me realizing it.
On balance I think it is a great add on. Thank you.
(FYI: Live Person which was blocked prevents customer service chatting and I finally figured that one out).

Which version of Firefox are you using, and which version of Ghostery?

My apologies. On retesting it seems fixed for me. Maybe cached or something but cleared cache and restarted and now all good.
My thanks to the support staff.
