copy Ghostery settings to a different computer
I would like to copy my Ghostery settings from my PC to my Mac. I've spent months collecting and using it, I'd hate to do it all over again on my Mac. Is there a config file I could copy over?

Just Ghostery settings (as opposed to all Firefox settings)?
Not everything's in one place, so there's a little more to this than simply copying a single file.
If you haven't done so already, go ahead and install Ghostery on the Mac; then adjust its configuration to match what's on the PC.
Ghostery's options are stored as Firefox preferences. The Block Log is stored there as well, so the first thing you should do is Clear that.
Open about:config in a new tab. If you get a "This might void your warranty!" warning, go ahead and click I'll be careful, I promise!.
In the Filter: box, enter extensions.ghostery.

You only need to pay attention to the preferences in bold. The ones that aren't have their default values.
If the PC and Mac aren't in the same place, either make a screen shot or print the page, since almost everything is easiest to deal with manually. Don't change selectedBugsUpdated or version.
Basically, you're going to run down the list, and eliminate any discrepancies you see on the Mac side; there probably won't be many.
The only item likely to require special attention is whitelist. Right-click on that, and choose Copy Value. Paste that into a new Notepad document, save as a .txt file, and get that over to the Mac somehow: share it over the network / copy it onto a flash drive / e-mail it to yourself — whatever works for you.
Paste that into the corresponding preference on the Mac.
If you're blocking bugs selectively, there's one more step.
[This assumes you're using Firefox 3.6.x] From the Help menu, select Troubleshooting Information...
In the Application Basics section, you should see a row titled Profile Directory. Click the Open Containing Folder button.
Inside that folder, you should see another folder named Ghostery.
Two of the files in there should be copied over if they're not empty: selectedBugs and user.bugs.db
That should do it.
