could not view a video with ghostery active (FF 12.0)

Tried to view the preview video at:

http://www.cirquedusoleil.com/en/show...

and it loaded and stopped showing blank screen only.

I use FF 12.0 and AdblockPlusLite. Just recently updated everything including Flash to 11.3.

Pause blocking didn't resolve the issue. I whitelisted the domain and then the video played fine. I would rather not whitelist whole domain though.

It would be nice if you had an option on your menu - "report a problem on this page" and then grab pertinent information to send it to yourselves. Adblock Plus has that feature and it is handy.

I was just browsing Ghostery options (I didn't even know such a robust set of options existed). The click and play option is checked off, but it didn't kick in. That would have been a nice solution.

Try unblocking Omniture. Click2play doesn't apply, because the video itself isn't being blocked; the website's just broken.

Although seemingly a "false positive," this is akin to being struck by a locomotive while standing on railroad tracks. If you're responsible for authoring a website, don't do this!

I didn't really follow your reply except for "don't block Ominiture". Yes the video plays now.

Are you saying my problem was that particular website's fault. Should I leave Omniture blocked or not for general web usage? My unblocking it is not site-specific, right?

  The problem is the site's fault: they're misbranding something as Omniture that isn't actually Omniture.

  I wouldn't give up hope just yet; review and analysis of the pertinent GhostRank data might result in improved detection for "generic" Omniture, making such a workaround unnecessary.

  To Eric: this actually explains how the future blocking in Ghostery will work: settings will be applied to all sites with reverse exceptions for the particular site you want to do selective whitelisting. The pain is that its a file editor right now, but an interface is coming.
