Does ghostery protect against this kind of cookies?, if not it would be an excellent addition for the next release

Hi graiden, thanks for posting.
I think the wilders post outlines the problem: evercookie is a concept that could be used by any 3rd party and would be relatively hard to detect. As such, to my knowledge, there is no definitive defense against them: they are written into all available methods of local storage -- the only way I've seen to prevent them is to throw out browsing profile after each webernet browsing session -- I know of at least one addon that does that, and additionally, this is exactly why there is Private Browsing Mode in Firefox and Incognito in Chrome.
That said, evercookie is a technology hack that could be abused by any player in the field. To my knowledge, if Ghostery stops a tracker, it will also prevent any evercookie like behaviour as well.
If we find a way to identify an evercookie like behaviour in the browser, we will certainly add such a feature in the future. -
