Excel Crashing while trying to download from IE8

I installed Ghostery for IE 8.0.7601.17514CO. Afterwards I had issues with MS Excel crashing when trying to pull data into a spread sheet from an external web source. The errors occured depending on the amount of data I was trying to pull in. Small amounts, 10 columns by 4000 rows would load. However, larger amounts above 10x4000ish would not. After uninstalling Ghostery the issues did not manifest. The souce of the data was the same, the only difference was the size.

I was also not able to "save target as" for the large .xlsm while Ghostery was loaded, however, after removal I was able to save the file.
