Disable ghostery block log to enhance performance.

Edit Subject

Every additional action takes time, i think also logging feature does. So may it can be disabled by default ?

Hi petesky, thanks for using Ghostery.

Block log is going away in the next few releases, so this might not be a problem later on. If you wish to edit Ghostery sources, you may be able to remove all logging calls yourself until then since we did not provide a toggle for this

  I've found the Block Log invaluable for diagnosing and solving problems other people are having. This would be a great loss... If there are concerns about performance, how about profiling execution and determining exactly what the impact really is before you start amputating body parts?

  Well, I was considering it redundant since all trackers will be reported through Ghostery panel -- after all, the original reason for block log was that some types of trackers never made it into the panel. Not sure if this is as good as block log is, so we might keep it in the first release and then consider its usefulness after that.

I signed on to Ghostery as an afterthought when I added NoScript. My primary web browser is Firefox. Ghostery is blocking several sites that I need to utilize; particularly video content. How do I keep it from blocking those sites? In other words how do I turn Ghostery on and off? I have never set up an account. If I can't turn it on and off how to I unsubscribe?

  Apologies for merging into this thread. I got click-happy. You can disable Ghostery or remove it by going into Firefox's extensions menu and either clicking remove or disable there..
  
  Tools > Addons > Extensions > Ghsotery..
